GOING VERTICAL

The vertical construction of Casa Nidus, our latest residential project, kicked off in the final week of February, marking a significant milestone in its realization. Spearheaded by the skilled team at Estructec, the structural engineering phase commenced with precision and efficiency.

The process began with the careful craning of steel columns into place, followed by meticulous welding at the base to ensure robust structural integrity. In subsequent days, the team installed fastening plates onto the columns, serving as sturdy supports for the beams while they are welded into place.

One notable aspect of the steel framing process is its rapid pace; devoid of any drying time associated with concrete, progress unfolded swiftly. Within just a few days, the overall frame of Casa Nidus began to emerge, offering glimpses into the spaces that form the house.

Perhaps the most striking revelation during our recent site visit was the tangible realization of the house's scale. Transitioning from drawings to a tangible steel structure and finally seeing the scale of the house in real life was incredible.

Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to document the evolution of Casa Nidus and other ongoing projects!
